Chianti Davis

Traveling the world at a young age and being in the presence of many Gospel and R&B greats, Chianti has been able to hone her craft. She has shared the stage with Bobby Jones, Marvin Sapp, Dorinda Clark–Cole, Edwin Hawkins, Tonex, Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child), Trinitee 5:7, the Manhattans, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, the Chi-lites, and McFadden and Whitehead.

At the age of 14, Chianti appeared on numerous nationally syndicated television shows. She was showcased on Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) Teen Summit; she also won Amateur Night at the World Renowned Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York at the age of 16. A year later, she signed a recording contract with Lil' Man/Interscope Records under the direction of Teddy Riley, formally of the group Guyand Blackstreet. During her tenure at Lil’Man/Interscope records, her background vocals were featured on “The Lord is Real” which appeared on Blackstreet’s third album “Another Level”.

In 2001, Chianti appeared on The Word Network where she was a featured artist on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show. This appearance opened up many doors and afforded her the opportunity to be the guest artist for two years at Gospel Flava’s International Urban Music Conference. She also appeared as a guest artist at Edwin and Walter Hawkins’ Music and Arts Love Fellowship Conference.

Her voice has been heard throughout South Georgia while performing a theme song for a syndicated radio show on the Light Radio Station. Her singles, “I Am” and “Your Mercy” has received local radio air play. Currently “Your Mercy” is a part of the Unified by Grace Soul Edition, a nationwide compilation CD, where a portion of the proceeds benefit patients of the Nuymbarie Clinic in West Ankole, Uganda.

Chianti is a well-rounded individual who is also dedicated to helping others in her community. She has volunteered and participated in several community activities held by the Food and Clothing Bank of South Georgia, Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club of Lowndes County, and World Vision International. She has had the opportunity to share her gift at several healthcare awareness conventions held by Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Dudley Hair Care. She is also an active member of the Gospel Music Association (GMA). Currently, she is working on her long awaited debut album where she is writing and co-producing the project.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Albany State University and a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management from Capella University.  She is also an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Anthony Ford

After twenty years in the Public Assembly Facilities industry, including civic centers, theatres, convention center and stadiums, Tony Ford began a “new career” in teaching. Currently, teaching Drama at Radium Springs Middle Magnet School of the Arts.

Upon graduating from Valdosta State in theatre and studying acting/directing at the University of South Carolina, he performed in Athol Fugard’s The Island, William Shakespeare’s Othello & Mid Summer Nights Dream, Ossie Davis’s Purlie Victorious, Howard Richardson’s, Dark of the Moon and Charles Fuller’s Pulitzer Prize -Winning Of Broadway play A Soldier’s Story.

From acting center stage, Ford went back stage, broadening his craft by directing such plays and musicals as Grease, Man of La Mancha, Cinderella and Livin’Fat.

Gradually, he moved from back stage to the business world of entertainment, particularly booking and presenting major touring production such as Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus, Sesame Street Live, Disney on Ice, Willie Nelson, Stevie Wonder, KISS, Patti La Belle, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Chinese Acrobats and many more.

Further, as Director or General Manager, responsibilities included fiscal management of an annual budget ($3.4 million), marketing, booking, audience development and staff development for a 20,000 seat stadium, 10,000 seat multi-purpose arena a (8) field softball complex and a 6,000 seat minor league baseball stadium; as well as, managing a ticketing operation and a food and beverage service.

Then the epiphany ….. teaching!

Autika Johnson

Autika Johnson is performer, choreographer, and dance teacher. Ms. Johnson started her dancing career at the age of six while attending Hedges Elementary School in Mansfield, Ohio. She received her first scholarship from Mayor Lidia Reid of Mansfield Ohio; for excellence in Performing Arts, which included dancing, drama, and singing.

Autika relocated to Albany, Georgia where she attended Dougherty Comprehensive High School where she furthered her dance career by performing in multiple productions (Christmas with Media, The Lion King, etc.) all produced by Mrs. Lisa Love. She was also a member of the 3D Dazzling Dolls Dance Line, and Wild Cat’s arena football dance line. After she graduated from high school, she expanded her dance career at Darton College where she was a part of several dance performances. She also choreographed her first piece in “The Nut Crackin 80’s” under the direction of Mrs. Jennifer La Curan. In 2012, she was elected President of Darton State College’s Dance Company, and accomplished one of her goals as president to choreograph a dance for a flash mob. She also choreographed a full piece called “Chaotic Breathing” under the direction of Dr. Delancy. While performing and making a difference in her community, Ms. Johnson also serves as a choreographer for a spiritual organization called Gabriel Allen and the Rock Him Crew.  Ms. Johnson obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from Valdosta State University.

 

 

Erin Evans

Erin Evans is a native of Albany, Georgia. Growing up in a musical family, she started singing in church at the age of four. She attended Dougherty Comprehensive High School and was apart of the performing arts chorale under the direction of Mr. Mark Butler. Dougherty High's Performing Arts Chorale is known for their rich soulful and well-trained sound. The chorale has received countless awards and performed with artist such as Richard Smallwood and Vickie Winans. The Chorale has also performed for former President Jimmy Carter. After graduating from high school, Ms. Evans received a music scholarship to Bethune Cookman University (BCU). While attending BCU, she had the privilege of singing background for American Idol’s Fantasia Barrino. Ms. Evans relocated back home to Albany, Georgia and is now a senior at Albany State University majoring in Music with a concentration in voice. She is classically trained with a voice type of mezzo-soprano. In 2014, she was one of eight students from the Albany State University Concert Chorale who traveled and performed in Italy. She has been featured in plays at Albany State University such as "Spunk" and recently appeared in the schools spring production of Romeo and Juliet. Outside of school, Ms. Evans is apart of Cornelius Drake and Foundation, a gospel group based out of Albany, Georgia and has been apart of many recording projects of local gospel artist. She has also sung background for other artists such as Jessica Reedy, Zacardi Cortez, LeAndria Johnson, and Luther Barnes. After she graduates, she planes to pursue her dream of becoming an Opera Singer.


Jimmecha Car

Jimmecha Carr is an award winning thespian who has traveled across the country competing and speaking with a variety of organizations including National NAACP ACT-SO, Governors Honor Society, The American Academy of Arts, and many community performances.   Jimmecha is a proud graduate of Dougherty Comprehensive High class of 2016.  Her vibrant personality and unique theater experience has lead her to do training classes with television well known stars, Edwina Findley Dickerson Tyler Perry's "If Loving you is Wrong", and Yara Shahidi Americas Sitcom "Blackish".  Jimmecha attends Andrew College on a scholarship where she will continue studying theater and digital networking. This quote by William Shakespeare is one that she lives by, “All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. "
